Hi Nicola--don&#039;t worry, there are no stupid questions here. You could use lemon and lime juice in this tea but you won&#039;t be getting the medicinal power of the plants which are found in the essential oils.The essential oil of the citrus fruits are cold-pressed from the rind and are a completely different chemical compound than the fruit/juice. The essential oils of citrus are not sour because, unlike the juice, they contains no citric acid. What the oils do contain are   hundreds of chemical constituents, including phenols, terpenes, esters and oxides which provide various benefits to the body including stimulating the immune system to produce more white blood cells. As long as you&#039;re using essential oils that say FOR DIETARY USE on the bottle, I would definitely recommend using EO&#039;s for this recipe instead of juice. Hope that helps.
