However…. sorry to rain on your parade but I’d hate for people to experience a problem with their dishwasher. Vinegar in the rinse aid for a period of time will actually eat away at parts, will void a warranty and will make the owner sad. BUT… Solution: A tip I found elsewhere on the net years ago was to use a little old plastic container that you’ve lost the lid for. Keep it permanently in the upper shelf of the dishwasher and add about 20-30ml of vinegar ONLY as you set the dishwasher going. That way it does it’s job but gets diluted with water and flushed away at the end of the cycle. And no damage to your machine. 🙂
Can’t remember the name of the person who posted that tip but I’m forever grateful cos I found it just as we got a new dishwasher, so I never got the chance to damage it!
