Thanks Yaya--you're so sweet. No one really likes raw cukes around here but we all love pickles. This is my go-to recipe when i have extra pickles laying around. Definitely try them. :)

I was told they last about a month but I've had one batch in my fridge for almost 2 and they still taste fine (although definitely softer). I've noticed that the slices stay crisp longer than the spears. Hope that helps.

Hi Erin--thanks for stopping by. I encourage everyone to grow a garden but having a baby is a good excuse not to, that's for sure. Congratulations and when you put in your garden next year definitely plant cukes so you can make these yummy pickles. Have a great day!

I absolutely LOVE the story about your kid who ate a pickle sandwich. Too funny... and that actually sounds kind of delicious, even if it might be bad news for road tripping.

We love pickles in our house, too, and used to make them all the time. I'm saving this recipe for next summer because I have major plans for a veggie garden in our backyard. We weren't able to get it to work this year since I had a baby around the time we should've been planting. ;)

Just wanted to stop by from the SITS Saturday Sharefest and say hello! Happy weekend to you!
